Deborah Gray Garner (Wood), 61, of Waldorf, MD passed away on February 16, 2012 at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD. Born on March 29, 1950 in Washington D.C. to the late Xavier W. Garner, Jr. and Adelaide Gray Garner.

Deborah is survived by her Sister; Judith Simpson. Aunt; Barbara Howell. Nephew; Andrew Simpson, and niece; Megan Donnick. She is also survived by great-niece; Adeline Donnick, and great-nephews; Preston Simpson, and Jackson Donnick.

Deborah enjoyed writing and reading poems, watching birds, and also caring for her own Birds. Also, she enjoyed music and was fond of the music group, The Beatles.

A gathering will take place on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 9 am until time of Memorial Mass at 10 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Plata, MD with the Rev. Fr. John Reutemann officiating. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Charles County.
