Virginia Susan Redding of Port Tobacco, MD died on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospice House in Callaway, MD. She was 70 years old.
Mrs. Redding was a Sales Associate for 30+ years for J. C. Penny Company and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served many positions. She loved being with her grandchildren and children. She also liked antiquing and talking on the telephone to family and friends. Daughter of the late Burley O. Self and Goldie M. Nazelrod Self. Predeceased by her parents; her late husband, Lonnie A. Redding; one step-son, Christopher Redding; and two siblings, Mary Self and David Self. Survived by three children, Tammy Teets Ellis and her husband Charles of Waldorf, MD, Mark Teets of Port Tobacco, MD, and Jason Redding and his wife Patricia of Haymarket, VA; one step- son, Lonnie Redding, Jr. and his wife Tammy; five siblings, Marie Ward of South Jordan, UT, Glen Self and his wife Nancy of Martinsburg, WV, Wanda Neilson and her husband Wayne of Riverton, UT, Sharon Lambert and her husband Hubert of UT, and Ruby Hoskins and her husband William of WI; and eight grandchildren, Mathew Ellis and his wife Rebecca, Joshua Ellis, Austin Teets, Gabriel Teets, Alexandra Redding, Jason Redding, Jr., Cynthia Ann Redding, and Courtney Redding. Visitation: Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 10:30AM until time of service at 12:30PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646 (301-934-2920).
