In 1990 Louise moved to La Plata with her son Louis and nephew Michael and in 2008 she became a resident of Genesis Healthcare. Louise enjoyed reading, taking brisk walks, listening to music, especially to the sounds of James Brown. She was an outstanding cook and everyone loved her delicious fried chicken, kale and biscuits. She especially loved her grandchildren and they loved her in return. Most called her "Granny" and others simply referred to her as "Grandma." She enjoyed their visits, which led to lots of laughter, hugs, and kisses. Louise is survived by her three sons: James (Rosie), Thomas (Pearl), and Louis (Jessica); five daughters: Nellie Barbour (William), Margaret Dorsey, Mary Johnson, Patricia Dyson (Tim) and Louise Castello; sisters: Ethel Cooper and Alice Newman (Russell); sister-in-laws: Annie Hemsley and Doris Hemsley. In addition to her parents and husband, Louise was preceded in death by her brothers: James, Peter, Lewis, Edward and John; sisters Dorothy Hilton and Evelyn Hilton. The family would like to truly thank Genesis Healthcare, especially caregivers, Jessica Brown and Phyllis Simms, for their support and loving care of our mom, Louise, during her stay at their facility since February 2008.
