Nelly Ruiz 76, of Waldorf, MD, formerly of Poughkeepsie, NY, died December 14, 2011, at her residence. Born November 29, 1935, in Cali, Colombia, South America. She was the daughter of the late Francisco A. Sandoval and Ana Julia Sandoval.

Nelly was married for 58 years to her beloved husband Leon Antonio Ruiz, who survives at home.

Nelly retired from Stanley Paper Company, Five Towns, NY. She enjoyed needle point, gardening, sewing and caring for her children.

In addition to her beloved husband Nelly is survived by her children, Dr. Antonio Ruiz and wife Maria Aurora; Ernesto, Alberto Ruiz and wife Jennifer; Daughters: Sonia DeLeon and husband Moises; Maria Teresa Alfonso and husband Fernando, Sofia Mendoza and husband Gerardo.

She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters and extended family.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, December 18, 2011, from 2PM-4PM, 6PM-8PM, at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home P.A., Charlotte Hall, MD, 30195 Three Notch Road, Box 128, Charlotte Hall, Maryland 20622.

A Mass of Christian Funeral will be held on Monday, December 19, 2011, at 10AM, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with burial at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
