Mildred (Millie) Elizabeth Casimano retired to Prince Frederick, Maryland 10 years ago. She died on December 4, 2011 at home surrounded by her family. She was 72 years old. Millie was born in Nottingham, Pennsylvania on December 31, 1938. Daughter of Nellie and Ernest Gill.
She grew up on their dairy farm in Oxford, PA in a large, loving family. As a young woman Millie was ambitious with dual careers working at the FBI, in Washington D.C. managing Mail and Fingerprint and she also was a beautician practicing in the state of Maryland and New York. This was her heart's dream. She loved making people look good and had a great sense of style. Millie met her husband; Dominick at a military dance in 1958 in Quantico, Virginia. They fell in love and got married in June 1964. They moved to Bayport, New York (on Long Island) where they built the house they would live in for 35 years. They raised three girls and enjoyed living close to the beach in a wonderful town with many friends and happy memories. Millie enjoyed dancing, laughing, cooking, going to the beach and especially being with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her husband Dominick Casimano of 47 years, her three daughters, Terri Wilkinson, Patti Smith, and Elaine Collyer, her four grandchildren Dominick and Jacob Smith, Andrew and Emma Wilkinson, and siblings John Gill, Nell Gill, Mabel Ann Gill, Norma Neufell, and Sara Hudgins. The family will receive friends at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Rd. Port Republic, MD on Wednesday December 7 from 5-7 PM where services will be held at 7:00 pm. Burial Service will be held on Thursday, December 8, at 1:00 pm at Oxford Cemetery, 220 N 3rd Street, Oxford, PA 19363. Arrangements provided by Rausch Funeral Home.
