Alberta Mae Farrell, 67, of Mechanicsville, MD, died on October 10, 2011 at her residence in Mechanicsville, MD. Alberta was born on September 23, 1944 in Westmoreland County, Virginia.
Alberta was the daughter of the late James William Allison, Sr. and Ricie Lee Worrell-Allison, and sister to the late Lewis Allison and Peggy Farrell. Alberta enjoyed spending her time with her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Alberta was a member of the Indian Head Moose Lodge, #1712. She enjoyed playing darts, bowling, and horseshoes. She also enjoyed cooking, country music, dancing and watching her soap operas. Christmas time was her most favorite time of the year, she loved Christmas lights and decorations and listening to Christmas music. Alberta is survived by her husband, Charles Ignatius Farrell, Jr., her son, Allen R. Jenkins, Sr. and his wife Sheryl of Mechanicsville, MD., her 3 brothers, Jimmy Allison, Roy Allison, and Wayne Allison, her 2 sisters, Dottie Allison-Jenkins and Lois Magruder, and her 3 grandchildren Allen (AJ) Jenkins, Jr., Brandon Jenkins and Allison Jenkins and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends for a Life Celebration on Thursday October 13, 2011 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at The Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday October 14, 2011 at The Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home in Charlotte Hall. Interment will follow to Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601. In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, P.O.
