Margaret Ann Bowers "Peggy", 66, of Solomons, MD, formerly of Johnstown, PA passed away on September 29, 2011 in Washington, D. C. She was born on November 20, 1944 in Johnstown, PA to the late Margaret Schmalz and Joseph Charles Schmalz.

She was the beloved wife of John Patrick Bowers whom she married on May 28, 1966 in Johnstown, PA.

Peggy Graduated from Johnstown Central Catholic High School in 1962. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and active in many functions at the church. Peggy loved to plan parties, was a professional decorator and pundit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Gary and her daughter, Melanie.

Peggy is survived by her husband John Patrick Bowers of Solomons, MD; her daughter, Melissa of MD; her son; Patrick of SC, her sister Jane Dadey of Toledo, OH.; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 10 AM in Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Solomons, MD with Msgr. Michael Wilson officiating. Interment will be private.

The family request contributions to be made in Peggy's name to the Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church School, P. O. Box 560, Solomons, MD 20688.
