Lucille Louise Sprouse, 89, of Bryans Road, MD, died September 10, 2011, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, MD. Born November 17, 1921, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Kennedy Allison and the late Elizabeth A. Howard.

Mrs. Sprouse was a Library Technician for 26 years with U.S. Customs Service. She moved to Washington, DC during the Depression with her parents where she met her husband. She worked for the Navy during World War II and raised six children. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, NASCAR and the Washington Redskins. She enjoyed visits with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Predeceased by her parents; husband of 33 years, Otis Randolph Sprouse; daughter, Beverly Sprouse.

Survived by her sons, Dale R. Sprouse of Brazil; Kenneth R. Sprouse and his wife Debbie of Lothian, MD; Robert L. Sprouse of Arlington, VA; Donald L. Sprouse and his wife Judy of Bryans Road, MD; daughter, Patricia A. Givens of Bryans Road, MD. Also survived by seven grandchildren, Kenny, Eric, Kimberly, Avery, D.J., Steven and Hayden; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 15, 2011, from 9:30AM until service time at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Rev. Kim McKnight will officiate. Pallbearers will be Steven Sprouse, Eric Givens, Donald Sprouse, Robert Sprouse, Kenneth Sprouse, Jr. And Randy Sprouse. Burial will take place following the service at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
