Mr. Cain was a long-time Auto Salesman with local car dealerships in the metro area and a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a Corporal from 1956 through 1958. He was a graduate of Salem University in Salem, WV and had served as a substitute teacher in Southern Maryland for many years. He was an avid golfer and had a great sense of humor. He was of the Catholic faith.

Son of the late James L. Cain and the late Gertrude Agnes Smith Cain.

Predeceased by his parents; one late brother, Jim Cain; and one late sister, Joanne Smith.

Survived by his son, John M. (Sandy) Cain, Jr., of Tukwila, Washington; one sister, Sr. Jane Cain of Wheeling, WV; and two grandsons, Nolan and Nathan Cain. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services and Interment: at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers: United States Marine Corps Honor Guard.
