John Paul Clements, 78, of Waldorf, MD, died August 5, 2011, at White Plains, MD. Born August 27, 1932, in Upper Marlboro, MD, he was the son of the late John Malcomb Clements and the late Lillie Curtin Clements.
Mr. Clements was a retired Supervisor for 27 years with the Prince George's County Department of Public Works and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid rabbit hunter and a member of the Southern Prince George's County Beagle Club. In his earlier years, he was a volunteer with the Seat Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department. Predeceased by his parents; wife, Barbara Ann Dove Clements; and sister, Edna Mae Nicely. Survived by two sons, John P. (Pamela) Clements, Jr., of White Plains, MD; Mark A. Clements of La Plata, MD; three daughters, Cheryl A. (John) Findlay of Bristow, VA; Susan D. Weaver of Clinton, MD; and Melissa B. Clements of Waldorf, MD; one brother, George (Marcia) Clements of Lusby, MD; seven grandchildren, Dawn, Andrea, Jonathan, Justin, Cameron, Cathy, and Kari. Also survived by six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, August 11, 2011, from 1PM to 2PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Memorial service will be Thursday, August 11, 2011, at 2PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Rev. Mark Roberson will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date.
