Anne T. Langer (age 82) beloved spouse of Richard R. Langer and mother of Mary Rose Calvert, Stephen Langer and the late John Robert Langer, passed away on Tuesday, July 26th, 2011, in the Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C.

Anne was one of three children, a sister Regina Peltz, Sister of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary and a brother, the late John G. Peltz.

Before Anne married Richard Langer, now ret. USMC, she worked for a time at the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. Anne and Richard settled in southern Maryland for a married life of fifty-nine years where they raised their three chilldren, ie., Mary Rose, Stephen and the late Bobby.

Anne is survived by Thomas Calvert, husband of Mary Rose and their three children, ie, Benjamin, Daniel and PFC Andrew John, USMC. Anne is also survived by Cynthia Bristow Langer, wife of Stephen and their two children ie., David (and his daughter Scarlett) and Katherine.

Viewings and a funeral service will be held at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata, MD. Viewings will be on Sunday, July 31st, from 2-4 and from 6-8 p.m. Where funeral services will be held Monday, August 1st, at 10 a.m. Burial services will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery, also on St. Mary's Avenue. A repast will follow at the Calvert home.
