Lynell Walter Dade, Sr., 46, of Waldorf, Maryland was called home to be with the Lord on July 20, 2011 at Fort Washington Medical Center in Fort Washington, Maryland. Lynell was born on September 21, 1964 to the late Lilly Pearl (Fox) Fenwick and the late John Walter Dade.
He was the second youngest of thirteen children. Lynell was baptized at an early age at St. Peter's Catholic Church, in Waldorf, Maryland. He was educated in the Charles County Public School System. He met Corlette Jacqueline Proctor in October 1991. At first sight, he knew she was the love of his life and on June 11, 1992 they were united in holy matrimony. They were so much in love, they decided to renew their vows in April 2008. They enjoyed many good times over the next nineteen years. From this union they were blessed with two beautiful children, Lynell Walter Jr, (aka Lonnie) and Calalia Chanel. Lynell was a valued employee with Shaw Incorporated where he worked for many years as a heavy machine operator. When the company relocated to North Carolina, Lynell debated about whether he wanted to go so far away from his family but decided that in order for him to take care of his family this is what he needed to do. He worked in North Carolina for Shaw until his death. Lynell was a quiet person but had a big heart. He thought so much of others that he decided to be an organ donor and because of this someone else will live a better life. He enjoyed spending time with his kids; cleaning his car, listening to oldies music; watching his favorite sports team the Philadelphia Eagles play; playing the lottery and taking his family to Ocean City and Kings Dominion during the summer. He also enjoyed going to his sister-in-law Wanda's campsite for a fun filled weekend and going on his sister Doris' Atlantic City bus trips (hoping that he'd hit the jackpot). He also enjoyed collecting scrap metal with his good friend Herman Washington. Whatever Lynell was doing, as long as he was spending time with his family and friends he was happy. Lynell's children were his pride and joy. Whether he was giving Lil Lonnie fatherly advice or disciplining Calaila for something she had done, which afterwards he would take her to Toys' R Us to get a toy, he enjoyed their time together. The greatest joy in Lynell's life was spending time with his wife. Whether they were playing bingo at ADF, cruising aboard a luxury cruise liner or simply sitting at home enjoying a movie, those were treasured times for him. Lynell was preceded in death by his parents Pearl L. Fenwick and John W. Dade; brothers Russell, Michael and Richard Fenwick, one sister Cynthia Fenwick and one nephew Mondre Fenwick. Lynell leaves to cherish his many memories, his wife, Corlette; his five sons Lynell Jr. (Lonnie), Devine, Lydell, Andron and Jamar Wood; one daughter Calalia; brothers John and Johnny Fenwick; Dynell Dade and Johnny Johnson; five sisters; Doris Gray, Janice, Linda, Patricia and Ethel Fenwick. He also leaves four aunts; Alice Baylor, Ruth (Ruben) Deyo, Ethel Fox, Brenda (Clyde) Johnson, Cachita (James) Meyers and three uncles, Moses, Richard and Alfred Fox; parents-in-law Shirley and Conrad Proctor; brother-in-laws Shawn and Charles Proctor; sister-in-laws Linda, Natalie and Marie Fenwick; Clementine Dade; Wanda and Joy Proctor; Priscilla Harley and a special niece, Janiyah Ford, who he raised as one of his own and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
