On Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Genesis Healthcare La Plata Center, La Plata, Maryland, Marilyn Alethia Williams "Marlene" of Waldorf, Maryland, quietly entered into eternal rest. She was the second to the last child to be born to the late Marian Mighty and the late Jonathon Mighty in St. Catherine, Jamaica, WI on March 24, 1939.
Marilyn Williams was educated in the All age public school in Spanish Town; St. Catherine, Jamaica WI. She was married to Lefty Williams for forty one years; and was a proud mother of Chanita, Angela, Heather, Sandra, Barrington, Jack, Mickey, Noel and Neville; and the late Donovan. Marilyn loved to cook, clean, and check-up on her investments. Family dinners were a very special function that gave her joy to see the family coming together. She was loving, caring, humble, very generous and a prayer warrior. She was admired for her humble spirit, humor and bravery. She possessed a wealth of words of wisdom "Not every drum knock you must dance;" "Once a man and twice a child; and every day the bucket go a well one day the bottom must drop out." One of her proudest moments was the purchase of her first home. Marilyn was most interested in the word of God and wealth. Working at Belleview Hospital for 25 years as a Nurse assistant she spelled CARE one way... therefore; the level of care given to each patients was the very best. Marilyn was most influenced by her grand-children who spent numerous summers with her in Jamaica making her laugh uncontrollably. Being around her family and taking care of the elderly gave her lots of enjoyment . So today the family remembers Marilyn as the Praying mother who prays for everyone. A woman of God who loved to take care of the elderly; the lady who welcomes everyone with open arms; and last but not least a woman that never takes a vacation because she is always thinking about someone else to assist. In addition to her husband and children, Marilyn leaves behind to cherish fond memories, her sisters Thelma, and Zeporah daughters, sons, and grand children Simone, Tracie, Jodiann, Chanute, Asha-Kay, Janeieen, Michelle, Jamelia, Lisa, Kerry-Ann, D'Jate, Shanice Racqucala, Silly, Zanay , Angelah; Rayon, Davion, Kadeem, Donovan, Gavin, Matthew, Rashawn, Jamel, Joel, Jeffrey, Channel, Gianni, Kimberly, Kemoy, Saskay, Kala, Kelly,daughters-in-law Andrea, and Rosetta; sons-in law Billy, Allen and Anton; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
