Mr. Thomas was presently working as a Building Manager for contractors and a retired Building Manager (having worked 38 years) for GSA - U.S. Government and a member of the Church of Christ. He was fond of old cars, especially a '79 Pontiac Trans Am - currently a 396 Chevelle, a '56 Chevy, a '57 Chevy, a '69 Z28, and a '42 Chevy Sedan. He loved food and family (especially children and grandchildren) was Number 1. He enjoyed yard work, going to the beach, and boogie boarding.

He was son of the late Arthur Stewart Thomas, Sr. and the late Mary Eva Floyd Thomas.

He was predeceased by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Kay Thomas; children, Jeffrey Lynn Thomas, Sr., Starlet Kay Thomas, and Rodney Bruce Thomas, Jr.; two brothers, Stewart Arthur Thomas, Jr. and Douglas Wayne (Cheryl) Thomas; and one sister, Lisa Jill (Rick) Roselle. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 5-8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 10AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD. Pallbearers will be Michael Roselle, Daniel Roselle, Brent Clements, Trey Thomas, Jeremy Thomas, Kevin Bruffy, and Steve Peaper.
