Steven James Ridgell, 58 of Ridge, MD died May 23, 2011 at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, Charlotte Hall, MD.

He was born in Roswell, New Mexico on July 1, 1952. He was the son of Jean (Raley) Ridgell of Ridge, MD and the late Clarence Hugh Ridgell. He is survived by siblings; Lila Hofmeister (Daniel) of Ridge, MD, Donna J. Taylor (Jerry) of Scotland, MD, Jay Scott Ridgell (Pam) of Piney Point, MD.

Family will receive friends in the St. Michael's Catholic Church, 16555 Three Notch Road, Ridge, MD 20680 on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with prayers recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Church. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Todd Taylor, Brady Ridgell, Shea Ridgell, Steven Taylor, Michael Hofmeister, and J.C. Hofmeister. Honorary pallbearer will be Richard (Dickie) Cullison.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Michael's School, P.O. Box 429, Ridge, MD 20680.
