Mary Palica of La Plata, Maryland, formerly of Buffalo, New York, died on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Charles County Nursing and Rehabiliation Center in La Plata. She was 93 years old. Born on October 27, 1917, in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Concetta Concilleri and the late Felix Costanzo.
Mrs. Palica worked as a waitress and was very involved in the PTA at School Number 79 having served as President among other offices while her children were in school. She loved bowling and playing in leagues, knitting, sewing and spending time with family. Mrs. Palica lived an active life which included taking cruises with her husband and exercising on a regular basis up to the age of 93. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the late John Palica; four brothers; one sister; one grandson, the late Robert Budwee. She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline J. Budwee and her husband Richard of La Plata, MD; her son John Michael Palica and his wife Joanne of Vernon, CT; her sister Mary Eldridge of Buffalo, NY; grandchildren Jason Palica, Jenna Palica, and Richard Budwee; great grandchildren Michelle Budwee, Ricky Budwee III and Robin Budwee; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; Service and interment will be private.
