John James Bales, 50, of Port Tobacco, MD, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2011.

He was born to the late James Bales of Port Tobacco, MD, and Nora Favier, currently residing in La Plata, MD. John graduated from La Plata High School.

John was a founding partner of Casey Jones in La Plata, MD. Several years later, John left the family business to start his own successful construction and property management company. In 1999, John suffered the great loss of his eldest brother, Marc.

John enjoyed golf; scuba diving, travel, and watching his children do anything and everything.

His mother, Nora Favier; brother, Paul; his son, Corbin; his daughter, Sydney; his nieces Brynn and Julia, and his nephew, Austin, survive him.

His family, his extended family, and those who knew him best will truly miss all what was deep in his heart and soul and will work to ensure that his children know his love.

A gathering will be held on Monday, May 16, 2011 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. in La Plata, MD. On Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 11 am, a memorial graveside service will be held at St. Ignatius Chapel Point where he will be laid to rest alongside his brother.
