Mrs. Fikes was a Food Service Worker for 17 years with the University of Alabama and a member of Mitylene Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL. She loved poetry and gardening and was a graduate of Georgia Washington High School in Montgomery, AL. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Daughter of the late Oliver Dillihay and the late Ada Beasley Dillihay.

Predeceased by her parents and her late husband, Samuel Fikes.

Survived by her four sons, Johnson Wheeler of Germany, Leon Wheeler of Montgomery, AL, Kenny (Winefreda) Wheeler of Waldorf, MD and Robert (Giesla) Wheeler of Germany; two daughters, Patricia Wheeler of Cleveland, OH and Beverly (Kevin) Moore of Montgomery, AL; and two sisters, Lilly Dillihay of Cleveland, OH and Ruth Phillips of Montgomery, AL. Also survived by eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services and Interment will be private.
