William Edward Curley, III, 62, of Bayonet Point, FL, formerly of Mechanicsville, MD, died April 11, 2011 at Calvert Memorial Hospital, Prince Frederick, MD. Born January 10, 1949 in Pleasantville, NJ, he was the son of William E. Curley, Jr. and Mary Audrey Mallen Curley.

Mr. Curley attended St. Mary's School, Bryantown and graduated from La Plata High School. He served in the U.S. Navy and has resided for 30 years in Florida where he worked in management in home appliance stores in Largo, FL. He enjoyed sports, especially golf and bowling with his son.

Mr. Curley was predeceased by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Curley; son, William Edward Curley IV from Bayonet Point, FL; daughter, Teresa Thompson (Travis) of Newburg, MD; brother Michael Curley (Mary Ellen) of Hughesville, MD; nephew, Brian Curley of Hughesville, MD; six sisters and 2 grandchildren, Megan and Justin.

A gathering will be held Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 at St. Mary's Church Cemetery, Bryantown, MD at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Maryland, 1840 York Rd., Ste. M, Timonium, MD 21093.
