Frances Marie Wood, 84, of Waldorf, MD, died Sunday, March 27, 2011, at Civista Medical Center La Plata, MD. Born October 23, 1926, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late William McDonough and the late Lillian Hale McDonough.

Mrs. Wood was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of La Plata. She loved playing cards and walking for physical fitness and being with friends. She loved animals, shopping and time at the beach. She most enjoyed being with her family.

Predeceased by her parents, late husband William Charles Wood; her daughter the late Linda Wood.

Survived by one son, Richard L. and his wife Terri Wood of Vermont; three daughters Barbara Ann and her husband Dale Underwood of Valley Lee, MD, Brenda and her husband James Smith of Fredericksburg, VA, and Susan J. Ramsey and her husband Gary Winkler of Hughesville, MD; one brother William McDonough of TN; one sister Margie and her husband James Mosley of FL; also survived by nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service and Interment will be private.
