Dora Gertrude Swann 91 of Charlotte Hall, Md. died on March 23, 2011 in La Plata, Md. She was born on January 16, 1920 in Thompkinsville, Md. to the late Joseph and Sarah Farrell.

She is also predeceased by her son Bernie Swann, daughter Virginia Swann, brothers Harry and Arthur Farrell, sisters Marjorie Maloney, Elsie Thompson, Nettie Murphy, Violet Farrell and Dorothy James.

She is survived by her sons David, Billy, Donald, Jimmy, Mike, and Larry Swann, daughters Estelle Gattien, Phyllis Kirchburger, Kay Gregor, Margie Boyers, Patsy Popp, and Linda Czar. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.

Dora was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Ladies of charity and enjoyed quilting and crocheting.

The family will receive friends on Friday March 25th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm with prayers at 7pm at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home 211 St. Mary's Ave. La Plata, Md. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday March 26th 10am at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church Issue, Md. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ladies of Charity of Holy Ghost Church.
