James "Wayne" Fenwick, 54, of Bryans Road, Maryland died peacefully on March 21, 2011 in La Plata, Maryland at the Civista Medical Center.

Born July 13, 1956, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Roy Lee Fox and Lucille Lillian Fenwick Hicks.

"Wayne" or "Chipmunk," as he was more affectionately called, was educated in the Charles County public school system. He was an extremely hard worker and heavy equipment operator. He worked in the field for over twenty years. He was also a "DJ" and went by the name "Disco Kid." As dedicated as he was to his job, Wayne was equally dedicated to his favorite football team, the Washington Redskins.

He met and married Brenda Cecelia Pickeral on May 31, 1986.

He was a loving and devoted husband and father of three sons and one daughter, James Wayne Fenwick, Jr., Damine Gerald Fenwick, Sr., Troy Bryon Fenwick and Stephanie Proctor. He was also very dedicated to his eight grandchildren, Cheyenne Fenwick, Cierra Fenwick, Brianna Fenwick, Shae'la Proctor, Damine Fenwick Jr., Devin Fenwick, Delaino Fenwick and KeShawn Woods. Also very near and dear to his heart was his two daughters-in-law, Angela Glotfelty-Fenwick and Stacy Franklin-Fenwick.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert "JJ" William Fenwick and brother-in-law, Robert Gerald Pickeral.

Along with his wife, children, grandchildren, mother and daughters-in-law, loving memories will be held by his two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Calhoun and Jeanne Pickeral, two brothers-in-law, Frank Calhoun and James "Dickie" Pickeral, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 8:00am to 10:00 am on Monday, March 28, 2011 at THORNTON Funeral Home, 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland. Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 4590 St. Joseph's Way, Pomfret, Maryland. Interment, Church Cemetery.
