Leonard Edward "Andy" Andrewlevick, 81, of Dares Beach, Prince Frederick, MD passed away on March 5, 2011 at home. Andy was born on April 2, 1929 in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania to the late Benjamin and Agnes Andrulewich.

He is predeceased by his wife, Nell Marie Andrewlevick, and brother, Fred Andrulewich and his parents.

After completing high school, he joined the Army in 1949 and was stationed at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina with the 82nd Airborne Division. He was then transferred to Heidelberg, Germany where he worked as a Personnel Technician. He and his wife were married on October 3, 1953 in Heidelberg, Germany. Andy retired from the U.S. Army in February 1969 as a Chief Warrant Officer. After his retirement from the U.S. Army, Andy worked as the Purchasing Agent for the Calvert County Board of Education until his retirement in 1992. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and of course, his beloved Redskins. He was a member of St. John Vianney Church and served as an Usher. Andy will be greatly missed by his family, extended family and many friends.

Andy is survived by his son, Ronald D. Andrewlevick and his wife, Sue, of Dahlonega, GA, Susan M. Allen and her husband, Stuart, of Chesterfield, VA and Michael P. Andrewlevick and his wife, Julie, of St. Leonard, MD. Grandfather of Sonya Watts, Dawn Mills, Nick Langley and Jana Langley and great-grandfather of 5. He is also survived by his brother, Benjamin Andrulewich.

The family will receive friends at the Rausch Funeral Home, P.A., 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD on Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, March 11, 2011, 11:30 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Prince Frederick, MD. Interment will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Military Honors. Memorial contributions made be made in Andy's name to St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 470 Main Street Prince Frederick, MD 20678.
