Robert Edward "Bob" Bennett, Jr., 62 of St. Leonard, MD, formerly of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on February 24, 2011 at his residence.

Born July 10, 1948, he was the son of the late Robert e. and Elizabeth M. Bennett.

Bob was a Plumber, most recently for Tyler Mechanical. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was a devoted husband, father and, grandfather. Bob was an avid sports fan and particularly enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins. He also enjoyed watching the Food Network, cooking breakfast, and grilling.

Robert is survived by his wife of 35 years Deborah Bennett of St. Leonard, MD, children: Robert Bennett, III, Sharon DiSandro, and Sabrina Zimmerman, siblings; Margie Perez, Anita Lavallee, Robin O'Neil, and Toni Bennett, and three grandchildren; Rebecca, Aidan, and Brayden. In addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by his brother, David Bennett.

Family will receive friends for Bob's Life Celebration on Monday, February 28, 2011 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., Charlotte Hall, MD where a Memorial Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. with Reverend Keith Corrick officiating.

Interment will be private.
