Patricia Hinchliffe passed away on 2/3/11 after a long battle with Progressive Supranulear Palsy, a neurodegenerative brain disease. She was at home in Solomons, Maryland with her spouse, Lowell, and family at her side.

Pat is survived by her father Jesse B McWhorter of Yulee Florida and her sister Joan Wigglesworth of Poulsbo Washington. She also leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Lowell B Hinchliffe and her three children, Cheryl Kenney, Stephen Hinchliffe and Kevin Hinchliffe. She is also survived by three grandsons, Chad Kenney , Connor Hinchliffe, and Gavin Hinchliffe.

Patricia was born in San Angelo, Texas and moved to Washington DC in 1937. She later moved to Prince Georges county and attended Surrattsville HS and Suitland HS where she graduated in 1953. She married Lowell, her high school sweetheart, in 1957 at the Chapel on the campus of the University of Maryland and setup residency in Prince Georges county Maryland. Pat was a working mother though out her life and retired with her husband in 1987 when Lowell retired from the Prince Georges county school system.

In retirement, Pat wintered in Florida for 17 years and was a veteran of 25 cruises. Her retirement home was located on the Patuxent River where she enjoyed crabbing and life on the water. She was a wonderful person and a great wife and mother. She and her husband took great pride in the unity of their marriage, "for better or worse, til death do us part."

Pat was a very giving person and through her desire to help others her final act of giving was to help others that are suffering. By her request her body was donated to science and her brain tissue was donated to the CurePSP brain bank in hopes it would help others and maybe lead to a cure to this terrible disease.

A Celebration of Life will be held on her birthday 5/14/11 in Solomons, Maryland.
