Robert Lear Parrott, Jr. "Bobby", 63, of Lusby, MD passed away on February 13, 2011. Bobby was born on May 19, 1947 in Prince Frederick, MD to the late Ruby Cate and Robert L. Parrott, Sr. He is also predeceased by his sisters, Elizabeth Gatton, Carol Hosch and a brother Cody Parrott.
Bobby was born and raised in Calvert County and he married his high school sweetheart, Betty Jean. Their marriage lasted 42 years until his death. One of his greatest joys was his son, Hunter who was born in 1989. He was the apple of his Daddy's eye. Bobby worked for B.G. and E. for 32 years in Security. He volunteered for the Prince Frederick Volunteer Rescue Squad for 20 years, serving as Chief for several of those years. He is a lifetime member of the Squad. One of Bobby's passions was being out on the open road on his motorcycle. He was a member of the Blue Nights for 10 years. He loved traveling, trips to see family and friends, or down to Virginia where they kept a motor home. Bobby was one of the most dedicated sand honorable men you would ever meet. He would give anything to help one in need. He was well loved by many. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Lane Parrott, his son William Hunter Parrott, a brother, Michael Parrott and his sister Judy Morrison. There are many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews who love him and will miss him greatly. The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 16, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD. Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 17, 2011, 11 am at the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church, Prince Frederick, MD. Rev. Robert Berry will be officiating. A reception will be held immediately after the service at the Prince Frederick Volunteer Rescue Squad. Memorial contributions may be made to the Prince Frederick Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O.
