Donald Earl Osborne, Sr., 77, of La Plata, MD, died February 10, 2011, at Fenwick Landing Assisted Living in Waldorf, MD.

Mr. Osborne was a Construction Inspector for the General Services Administration for 30 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in White Plains, MD and an active member of the NRA. He loved old movies like John Wayne and Sonja Henning. In his early years, he worked as an Electrician. He enjoyed racing cars at Aquasco Speedway. He was a homebody who enjoyed working in his yard and flower gardens.

Born October 20, 1933, in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Earl Osborne and the late Virginia Kendrick Osborne.

Predeceased by his parents; wife, Anna L. Osborne; daughter, Debbie Osborne; and son-in-law, Mark Swick.

Survived by sons, Donald E. Osborne, Jr. and his wife Nancy, of Waldorf, MD; David L. Osborne and his wife Cathy of La Plata, MD; daughter, Laura A. Swick of Waldorf, MD; sister, Harriet Palmer of MA; and grandchildren, Jessica and Sarah Osborne.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 18, 2011, from 9:30 AM until Service time at 11 AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

Rev. Mark Roberson will officiate.

Interment will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.

Pallbearers will be Donnie and David Osborne, Chris Willett, and Dave Ransom.
