Neal, Georgia Ruth (Grant), Age 77 of Waldorf, Maryland. Georgia Ruth Grant Neal was born on July 8, 1933 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina to the late Paul Hunter and the late Georgia Lee Grant.

Georgia grew up and was educated in the Edgecombe County Public School System. After graduating from High School, she made her home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she worked in the Retail Industry for many years.

While in Philadelphia, Georgia met the late Joseph Z. Neal and they were united in Holy Matrimony in the summer of 1956. From this union of 48 years, three children were born, Julia, Steven and Kelly Neal.

After the death of her husband, Joseph, she moved from Philadelphia and eventually made her home in Charles County, Waldorf, Maryland. Georgia joined the Union Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Brandywine, Maryland where she was a quiet and faithful member.

Peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Civista Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland, Georgia transitioned from this earthly life to life eternal.

Left to cherish fond memories are her daughter, Julia Clark; two sons, Steven Neal (Rhonda) and Kelly Neal; four grandchildren, April, Joseph, Ja'ron and Jenee; two great granddaughters, Taylor and Sydney; three brothers, Willie, Walter and William; three sisters, Gwen, Constance and Debra; and a host of family and friends whom she loved dearly.

Her Viewing will be from 10:00am until time of Service, 11:00am on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the Union Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 6810 Floral Park Road, Brandywine, Maryland 20613.

Interment will be Private.
