Johnny Wayne Adkins, 68, of Waldorf, MD passed away on February 1, 2011 at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Harry W. Adkins, and Bertie R. Adkins. Brothers; James Adkins, and Melvin Adkins. Sister; Betty Vermillion.

He is survived by his Wife; Donna Adkins. Son; Johnny Adkins, II. Daughter; Tammy Thorne and her husband Robert. Brothers; Donald Adkins, and Steve Adkins. Sisters; Carolyn McDonald, and Mary Stone. Two grandchildren; Tabitha and Faith Thorne.

Johnny enjoyed working on computers and electronics. He loved to be with his family. He also enjoyed cleaning his car, and playing slots and cards.

A life celebration will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2011 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. in La Plata. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 10 am. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD.
