David Lee Raulerson, 60, of Helen, MD, formerly of Forestville, MD died January 29, 2011. Born December 25, 1950 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Leo D. Raulerson and Virginia Raulerson.
David was a 42-year member of Sheetmetal Workers Local 100. A teacher at heart, he enjoyed coaching youth softball and t-ball. Having served as past-president of Crime Solvers and participating in his Neighborhood Watch program, David gave back to the community. In his younger years, his passion for cars led him to pursue the hobby of drag racing. He mentored many and was a friend to all. Besides his father, David was also predeceased by his sister, Janie Lyles and nephew James Littig. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Raulerson; wife, Anna M. Raulerson; daughters, Kelly S. Bowling (Mark), Dana M. Wallace (Jeffrey) and Anee P. Raulerson; brother, Joseph M. Raulerson; grandchildren, Trevor Wallace and Maddison Wallace; nephews, David Lyles and Travis Green, and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends for David's Life Celebration on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 6 - 8p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. Prayers will be held at 7:00p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church by the Chesapeake, 3255 Broomes Island Rd., Port Republic, MD 20676. Interment will follow at Chesapeake Highland Memorial Gardens, Port Republic, MD. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Church by the Chesapeake.
