Marie Chailoupe Henley, 88, of White Plains, MD, died January 23, 2011, at her residence.

Mrs. Henley was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Waldorf. She worked for the Navy Department in her younger years before marriage. She worked for various health organizations after marriage. She enjoyed homemaking, cooking and raising children.

Born May 15, 1922, in Washington DC, she was the daughter of the late George Chailoupe and the late Zeripp Chailoupe.

Predeceased by her parents.

Survived by her husband of 69 years, Edward Howard Henley, Sr.; sons, Edward Henley, Jr. Of Hagerstown, MD; Christian James Henley of Waldorf, MD; daughters, Maryann Gould and her husband Kenneth of White Plains, MD; Susan Christine Gladd and her husband Kevin of Kent Island, MD; Donna Marie Reed and her husband Michael of San Diego, CA. Also survived by seven grandsons and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 31, 2011, from 9:30AM to 11:00AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

Funeral Service will be on Monday, January 31, 2011, at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel.

Rev. Wayne Kempson will officiate.

Interment will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
