Mr. Sunderland was a Self-Employed Carpenter for more than 40 years.

He was son of the late Bernard Owens Sunderland and the late Charlotte Janet Acuff.

He was predeceased by his parents.

He is survived by his beloved companion, Jeanne Rhodes of Cobb Island, MD; son, James Ryan Sunderland of Duluth, GA; daughter Jessica Lynn (Sunderland) Williams and his granddaughter Gabrielle Elaine Meadows.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 7pm at Cobb Island Baptist Church, 17068 Cobb Island Road, Cobb Island, MD 20625.

Rev. Joe Blanton will officiate.

Interment will be private.
