Evans, Florence Rosina Wills (Age 95) of Bel Alton, Maryland formerly of Washington, D.C. Florence Rosina Wills Evans was born in Springhill, Maryland on December 24, 1915, to the late William Henry Wills, Sr. and the late Matilda Jane Burch Wills.

On Sunday, December 26, 2010, at the home of her loving niece, Dorothy E. Tate-Brooks in Bel Alton, Maryland, Florence, at the tender age of 95, peacefully went home to glory.

She was educated in the Charles County School system. After which, she moved to Washington, DC in her teens where she resided and held various jobs. Most significant was her employment for over 20 years as Head House Keeper and Personal Assistant to the late Ted Kennedy. She truly enjoyed her employment with the Kennedy Family and had great pleasure sharing stories of Ted and his children. She loved Ted and his children very much. Even after her retirement, she was a part of the Kennedy extended family, often invited to accompany the family on vacations.

Florence married the late Amos Evans on July 7, 1941.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings: William H. Wills, Jr., Morton Wills, Charles Burch Wills, Arthur Wills, Samuel Wills, Gertrude Warren, Dorothy Briscoe, Geneva Sample and Suzanne Wills; sisters-in-law: Doris Wills, Catherine Wills-Jones, Emily Johnson –Wills and Geraldine Wills; brothers-in-law: Russell Warren and Floren Sample.

Left to cherish fond memories are her brother-in-law, Charles Briscoe, many nieces and nephews, a special niece, Mary Alice Wingfield who Florence helped raise by sending her to Junior and Senior High School and her cousin and personal assistant for many years, Nancy Muschette.

Viewing, 9:00am, Friday, December 31, 2010 until Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, Maryland. Interment, Church Cemetery.
