Howard Eugene "HB" Butler, 49, of La Plata, MD, died December 19, 2010, at Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis, MD.

Mr. Butler received his education in the Charles County Public Schools. He graduated from La Plata High School in 1979. He was an electrician by trade and loved doing electrical work for various companies, family and friends. He was an avid Redskins fan.

Born November 27, 1961, in Dentsville, MD, he was the son of the late James Vincent Butler, Sr. and the late Florence Gertrude Butler.

Predeceased by his parents; brothers, James Vincent Butler, Jr., Joseph Ernest Butler, Sr., Calvin Edwin Butler and Charles Sylvester Butler.

Survived by his three children, Marcus O'Brien Butler, Azsha Dayne Butler and Tyler O'Neal Butler; three brothers, William Irvin and his wife Sheila, Francis Jerome, Thomas Wayne; two sisters, Mary Madeline Wheeler and her husband James, Violet Marie Lucas and her husband Bernard, four aunts, Helen Brown, Sarah Brooks, Carrie Taylor and Madeline Woodland; one uncle, Wilbert Dunn and a special niece and friend Brenda Ann Butler. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and many devoted friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 23, 2010, from 9AM to 10:30AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, December 23, 2010, at 11AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Newport, MD.

Fr. Mark Ervin will officiate.

Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
