Mrs. McDonald was a Homemaker and a member of Old Fields Episcopal Church in Hughesville, MD. She dedicated much of her time to the Charles County School Food Services. She loved bowling, golfing, volleyball and softball. She was an avid Washington Wizards and Washington Redskins fan. She also enjoyed baking cookies and fudge for Christmas, and sewing.

She was daughter of the late James Edwin Bean and the late Dorothy Fenno Bean.

She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Norman and Henry Bean; and two sisters, Mary Lou Blankenship and Alberta Moore.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Thomas L. McDonald; three daughters, Pamela D. (Jeffrey) Williams of Indian Head, MD, Jane E. (John) Sweeney of La Plata, MD, and Barbara A. (Charles) Smith of Mechanicsville, MD; one brother, Charles E. (Debbie) Bean of Upper Marlboro, MD; five sisters, Adeline Clark of Gambrills, MD, Beverly Mays of Parkton, MD, Carrie Mae (John) Bolin of NC, Carolyn (Charles) Smith of FL, and Linda Simms of Waldorf, MD. Also survived by six grandchildren, Nicole, Kristin, Katie, Samantha, Morgan, and Jessica; and two great-grandchildren, Rayne and J.J.

A Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 12pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

Clergy will be the Rev. Kevin Cullins.

Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.

Arrangements provided by Raymond Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be John Sweeney, Jeff Williams, Charlie Smith, Josh VanBuskirk, Jeff Tschudi, and Gary Keyes.
