Marion Davis Cook, Sr., 82, of La Plata, MD passed away on December 8, 2010 at Washington Hospital Center.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Marion S. Cook, and Allie H. Cook, and one son; Marion D. Cook, Jr.

He is survived by his wife; Victoria Bowling Cook, and sister; Clytee Hamill from Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Marion had been a pile driver and a farmer. He enjoyed fixing equipment, hunting, fishing, watching western movies, and game shows.

A life celebration will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010 at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. in La Plata, MD from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm with a payer service at 6:45 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 11 am at the La Plata United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bruce Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Dentsville Methodist Cemetery in Dentsville.
