Donald White, "Uncle Don", 81, of Mechanicsville, MD died November 27, 2010 at his residence. Born March 23, 1929 in Ashland, KY, he was the son of Frank Allen White and Georgia Wickline White.

Mr. White served with the U.S. Army in Korea. He later worked as a building inspector with the Prince George's County Government and retired in 1993. "Uncle Don" loved music, having a good time and karaoke at St. Mary's Landing, the Moose Lodge and Gallant Green Store.

Besides his parents, Mr. White was predeceased by his wife, Mary Alice White; brother, James White and sister, Joy Patterson. He is survived by his sons, William "Al" White and his wife Lisa of LaPlata, MD and Thomas Ernest White of Mechanicsville, MD; sister, Emily White, 2 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

The family will receive friends for "Uncle Don's" Life Celebration on Friday, December 3, 2010 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Brinsfield-Echols. Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of St. Mary's, P.O. Box 625, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
