James Donald Hardesty, 57, of Waldorf, MD, died November 15, 2010, at Ft. Washington Hospital, Ft. Washington, MD.
Mr. Hardesty was a pipe insulator and pipe fitter for 26 years with the Architect of the Capitol in Washington, DC. He loved fishing, exotic animals, NASCAR, Redskins, working on his cars and looking after his daughter. Born September 18, 1953, in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Frank Edward Hardesty, Sr. and the living Gertrude Juanita Lanham Hardesty. Predeceased by his father. Survived by his mother; his daughter, Ashley M. Hardesty of Waldorf, MD; brothers, Frank E. and his wife Marsha Hardesty, Jr. of VA; Charles T. and his wife Shaina Hardesty of Hughesville, MD. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, November 19, 2010, from 5PM to 8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Service will be Friday, November 19, 2010, beginning at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Rev. Mark Roberson will officiate. Interment will be private.
