Elizabeth M. Kaplan, 97, of Hillcrest Heights, MD, passed away on November 15, 2010, in Prince Frederick, MD. Mrs. Kaplan was born on September 17, 1913 in Washington DC to the late Otis and Clara Wilson.

She was a homemaker who was dedicated to her Children and Grandchildren.

She enjoyed the company of her friends and loved to play bingo and tend to her garden. In Elizabeth's later years, she loved to spend the day riding thru the Calvert County countryside with her son Fred.

Beloved wife of the late David Kaplan, mother of Melvin D. Kaplan (Hattie) of Port Republic, MD, Fredrick L. Kaplan of Hillcrest Heights and Port Republic MD and Robert L. Kaplan of Mechanicsville, MD and the late Shirley Barletta. Grandmother of 7, Angela Catloth, David Barletta, Donna Howard, Elizabeth Cave, Anna Kostelni, Melisa Malaspina, and David Kaplan. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday November 18, 2010, from 2-4 P.M., where services will be held on Friday November 19, 2010, 11 A.M. Interment will follow in Chesapeake Highlands Memorial Gardens.
