Doris Elizabeth Miller, 81, of Bel Alton, MD, died October 26, 2010, at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD.

Doris successfully survived breast cancer and passed quietly on October 26, 2010, after a lengthy battle with COPD. Doris was a devoted mother, wife, and exceptional homemaker most of her life. She loved the beach, fishing, doing handicrafts, growing plants, and collecting antiques.

Born February 2, 1929, in Columbia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph George Paules and the late Dorothy Mae Brommer Paules.

Predeceased by her parents; grandson, Brian Miller; and brother, Ralph Paules, Jr.

Survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles K. Miller, Sr.; sons, Charles K. Miller, Jr. of Deland, FL; Bruce W. Miller of Pomfret, MD; Gary L. Miller of Houston, TX and their wives; sisters, Betty and her husband Carl Siegriest of Columbia, PA; Judy Paules of Landisville, PA; grandchildren, Michael Wright, Christine Gass, Timothy Miller and Matthew Miller; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua and Matthew Gass. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 30, 2010, from 12:00 -1:30 p.m. at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 30, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at Raymond Funeral Chapel.

Clergy will be Rev. Mark Roberson.

Interment will be private.
