Mr. Hill was a Pipe Fitter for more than 20 years with Local #24 Asbestos Workers Union and was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Issue, MD. He loved boating, looking at the water, carpentry and his dog "Maggie" and his cat "Joe Max." He especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was known as an "Original."

He was son of the late James Earl Hill and Viola Elizabeth Shorter Hill.

He was predeceased by his father; and one sister-in-law, Mary Hill.

He is survived by his mother, Viola Hill; one son, Brian R. Hill of Newburg, MD; one daughter, Suzanne E. Hill of Newburg, MD; six brothers, James E. "Shorty" (Marilee) Hill, Jr. of Mechanicsville, MD, James M. "Pinky" (Wendy) Hill of Tompkinsville, MD, Henry Lee Hill of Charlotte Hall, MD, Edward (Cheryl) Hill of Hughesville, MD, Dennis M. (Valerie) Hill of La Plata, MD and Brother Thomas Gary Hill of NJ; one sister, Agnes M. "Cricket" (Robert) Wolfe of Clinton, MD; and one grandchild, Drew Cooksey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with a Wake Service at 7pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 1:30pm at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 15848 Rock Point Road, Issue, MD 20645.

Clergy will be Father Greg Coan.

Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Catholic Church Cemetery, Issue, MD.

Pallbearers will be Jay Shelton, Tony DiNenna, Timmy Todd, Bob Frank, Bill Fallin and Dave Wade.

Honorary Pallbearers will include the brothers of the deceased and Bob Wolfe.
