Thomas Michael "Tommy" Boarman, 39, of La Plata, MD, died October 16, 2010, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, MD.

Tommy graduated from La Plata High School in 1989. He married Janey Gray July 25, 1992. The couple had two children, a son, Ryan Scot Boarman and a daughter, Rachel Lynn Boarman. He and Janey divorced in 2003. He was employed by Washington Gas for 10 years.

Tommy was an avid "Dallas Cowboys" fan. He loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his children. He will always be remembered for the way he always took the time to talk to people and leave them with a smile on their face and so many people thought of Tommy as a brother. He was a very good friend to many and made a profound impact upon his family and friends.

Born December 16, 1970, in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Willard Arthur Boarman and the late Marie Myrtle Simpson Wood Boarman.

Predeceased by his parents; brother, Willard Arthur Boarman, Jr.

Survived by his children; companion, Stephanie Headley and her son, Bernie Burch. Also survived by his brothers, Mark Boarman and Robert Boarman and his sister, Sonja Boarman Woodbury.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a wake service at 7 p.m. at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church Newport, 11555 St. Mary's Church Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.

Fr. Mark Irvin will officiate.

Interment will take place in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Larry Robbins, James Burch, Mike Baker, Duane Underwood, Jacob Bowling and Chris Boarman.
