Eleanor Catherine Albrittain, 84, of La Plata passed away on October 12, 2010 at Civista Medical Center. She was born on April 10, 1926. The daughter of the late Douglas Tilton Cooksey and the late Catherine Natalie Radcliff Cooksey.

Mrs. Albrittain retired from the Naval Propellant Plant in 1981 with 37 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Edward Albrittain, and two sisters; Shirley Hodge and Mary (Duckie) Nairn.

She is survived by her daughters; Catherine E. Collier (Larry) of Graham, NC, Dorothy A. Dasse (Donald), of Wagner, SC, and Mary Alice Good (Raymond), of La Plata, MD. Sisters; Jean Raby, Elaine Foster, and Alice (Sweetie) Sinsel. Eight grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A Life-Celebration will be held on Friday, October 15, 2010 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm with prayers at 7 pm at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. in La Plata, MD. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 10 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Plata, MD. Interment will follow at St. Ignatius Catholic Church Cemetery in Chapel Point, MD.
