Ms. Alexander was a homemaker and a member of Waldorf Vineyard Church.

She was daughter of the late Robert F. Van Dyke, Sr. and the late Edna L. Jones

She was predeceased by her parents.

She is survived by her longtime companion, DeWayne Livengood of Bryans Road, MD; one brother, Robert F. "Fred" Van Dyke, Jr. of OK; four sisters, Violet E. "Betty" (Michael) Grimes, Sr. of Indian Head, MD, Theresa M. (Michael) Demmick of King George, VA, Bridgette D. (Thomas Wilkerson) Van Dyke of Brandywine, MD, and Sharon M. (Wayne) Burch of La Plata, MD; nieces and nephews, Tyler G. McKoy, Autumn S. Burch, Eva L. Grimes, Michael A. Grimes, Jr., Robert F. Van Dyke, III, Scott J. Van Dyke, Brittany A. Heaton, Charles J. Van Dyke, Colton J. Van Dyke, and Robert F. Demmick. Also survived by seven great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 from 5-8pm with a Funeral Service at 7pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

Interment will be private.
