William Dawe Penrose of Mechanicsville, Maryland, formerly of Billerica, MA died on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital Leonardtown, Maryland. He was 70 years old.

Born on October 7, 1936 in Springfield, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Zena Whittle Penrose and Horace Penrose. Mr. Penrose was a Facilities Supervisor of Polymer Tech. Corp. and retired in 2000. Prior he worked for W.T. Grant Dept Store for 15 years in Chelmsford, MA and Salem, NH. He served for 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Member of Townsend Rod and Gun Club in Townsend, MA, Billerica Elks in Billerica, MA. He was also an Instructor for Bowling and pistol and shotgun for the National Riffle Association and Some of his enjoyments were hunting, fishing, bowling, and country music.

A son, Keith Edward Penrose and a brother, Horace W. Penrose predeceased him.

Survived by his wife, Carol Mae Plouf Penrose, daughter and husband, Pam Marie and David Kern, son and wife, Guy Alan and Chickie Penrose, sister and husband, Nancy and William Devlin, and sister-in-law, Carolyn Brown. Ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive him.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, February 11, 2007 from 2-6 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622 where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2007 at 10 a.m. with Reverend George Bradford officiating. Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
