David Donoghue Gale, 56, of Sunderland, MD passed away August 6, 2010 at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, MD. He was born July 29, 1954 in Bethesda, MD to John C. and Frances Donoghue Gale.
He was raised in Turkey Point, MD and later lived in Smithsburg, MD. He graduated from DuVal High School in Lanham, MD, class of 1972. He later attended Lincoln Technical School in Washington D.C., training in automobile repair. He was employed as a Washington D.C. Metro-bus mechanic with the Amalgamated Transit Workers Union Local 689, retiring in 1984. He then was employed as an auto mechanic at Town Square auto repair in Dunkirk, MD, retiring in 2008 due to disability. In his leisure time David loved fishing, hunting and boating. He enjoyed dining, and was also known for being a practical joker with his family, friends and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his mother, and is survived by his fiancé Lizet Rivera of Sunderland; a daughter Sarah J. Gale and son Justin D. Gale, both of North Beach, MD; his father John C. Gale and wife Anne of Chambersburg, PA; and by a sister Dana Gale. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 A.M. Wednesday August 11, 2010 at Jesus the Good Shepherd Parish in Owings, MD. Interment will be private. Arrangements provided by Rausch Funeral Home. |
