Peter J. Mahon, 53, of Waldorf, MD passed away on July 22, 2010 at his home.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Eugene J. Mahon and Lorraine Mahon.

He is survived by his brother; Eugene M. Mahon. Sisters; Peggy Mahon, and Jane Mahon. Brother-In-Law; Kevin MacHale. Nephews; Luke, Jax, & Cody.

Peter enjoyed music, sports, the Outer Banks, reading (especially History), and listening to Jimmy Buffet. He had been a school sponsor for La Plata High School. A La Plata High School Student Government Advisor for 30 years. An advisor for the Charles County Association of Student Councils. He had been a L.P.H.S. soccer coach, and a member of the Education Association of Charles County.

A viewing will be held on Monday, July 26, 2010 from 3 pm-7 pm with prayers at 6 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Plata, MD. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 10 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pete Mahon Scholarship Fund.
