Roger Bayard Hall, 71, of White Plains, MD went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on June 4,. Born May 3, 1939 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Frank Hall and Mable Gottshall Hall.
Mr. Hall was a retired steamfitter with Local Union 602. Mr. Hall was an avid hunter and loved to hunt on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He was a life-time member of the St. Charles Sportsmans Club. He also had musical talent and played the guitar in a gospel group. He was an excellent handyman and there was nothing that he could not build, fix or make. His family and grandchildren were most important to him. Besides his parents, Mr. Hall was predeceased by his brother, Douglas Hall. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joan Marie Shifflet Hall; children, Donald Major (Diane), Dana Brown (Jonathan), Jeffrey Hall (Jackie), David Hall (Donna) and Steven Hall (Shannon); sister, Carolyn Hall; niece, Heather Shiflett; 14 grandchildren, Johanna, Sarah, Daniel, David, Kelly, Kimberly, Sarah, Emily, Zachary, Steven, Savannah, Tyler, Mya and Gia and 5 great grandchildren, Matthew, Chloe, Jacob, Clemie and Riley. The family will receive friends for Roger's Life Celebration on Monday, June 7, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Brinsfield-Echols at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at the United Methodist Church Cemetery, Dentsville, MD.
