Mrs. Padgett was an Accountant/Clerk for 40 years with Sears & Roebuck Store on Alabama Avenue in Washington, D.C. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bryantown, MD, Ladies Auxiliary Post 8810 VFW in Waldorf, MD, American Legion Post in Waldorf, MD, and Moose Lodge in Forestville and White Plains, MD. She was involved with the Richard Clark Senior Center in La Plata, MD, and a 1943 Alumni of Margaret Brent School.

She was daughter of the late Louis Suite and the late Anna Adele Buckler Suite

She was predeceased by her parents, her late husband, Louis Padgett, two brothers, Earl and Norris Suite, and one brother-in-law, Francis Abell.

She is survived by her one daughter, Linda L. (Richard) Emelio of La Plata, MD, one brother, Matthew (Ruth) Suite of Clinton, MD, one sister, Rosalie Abell of Loveville, MD, and two grandchildren, Dominic and Christina Emelio.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 11am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Byrantown, MD.

Clergy will be Father Joseph Kleinstuber.

Interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.

Pallbearers will be Rick and Dominic Emelio, John, Charlie, and Mike Padgett, and Mike McIntire.
