Mr. Oldland was a carpenter for 10 years with Maryland National Capital Parks & Planning and a member of St. Colomba Church in Oxon Hill, MD. He had a certificate for Journeyman Carpenter and was a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America in November 1990. He received numerous letters of appreciation for his carpentry work at Maryland National Capital Parks & Planning Commission; he also received performance awards, letters of appreciation, and certificates for work as material handler at the Naval Research Laboratory and ribbons from Prince George's County Fair for woodworking.
Son of the late Delbert Oldland and the late Rose Mary Reinhardt Oldland. Predeceased by his parents. Sisters, Paula (Jimmy) Hollar, Debbie (Joe) Ury, Penny (Steve) Carter, Anna (Steve) Parker, and Susie McDonald. Also survived by 8 nieces, 7 nephews, and 13 great nieces and nephews. Visitation: Tuesday, April 13, 2010 from 5-8 PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 11 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Piscataway, 13401 Piscataway Road, Clinton, MD 20735. Clergy: Father Dan Gallaugher. Pallbearers: Joseph Myers, Charles Parker, Ray Oldland, John Dixon, Timothy Quillen, and Harry "JR" Quillen. Honorary Pallbearers: James Reinhardt and Timothy McDonald. Interment: Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD 20735.
